Pre-stack Depth Migration has become the tool of choice for structural imaging in difficult areas around the world. The complexity of the subsurface, as well as the change presented by the acquisition environment, have led to the development of robust true amplitude migration techniques. These techniques are capable of handling topography, complex shot-receiver geometries, near surface effects and complex high contrast subsurface velocities.
